The brand was founded in 1988 by Franco Ceccotti and continued the traditions of Ceccotti Aviero (1956), his father's company. In the skilled hands of craftsmen, precious woods such as ebony and rosewood, oak, American walnut, and others, become design masterpieces.
Ceccotti Collezioni operates in the premium segment and is renowned for its exquisite solid wood furniture. The brand was founded in 1988 by Franco Ceccotti and continued the traditions of Ceccotti Aviero (1956), his father's company, which collaborated with well-known hotel chains such as Trusthouse Forte, Sheraton, and Ciga. Working with the finest international hotels allowed the company to showcase the high craftsmanship of artisans from the Tuscan town of Cascina, located near Florence and Pisa, where the Ceccotti Aviero factory was initially established, followed by Ceccotti Collezioni. This region is rich in furniture-making traditions and wood processing, and in Cascina itself stands the "School of Arts," which has provided the company with generations of skilled craftsmen.
With the arrival of Franco Ceccotti, the artistic direction became the cornerstone of the newly established company. Franco Ceccotti's intuition, in appointing architect Roberto Lazzeroni as the art director of Ceccotti Collezioni, allowed the company to make a statement with its very first collection and take its place among the leading Italian factories that have managed to combine and elevate the value of both past and contemporary design to an even higher level.
Experimenting with forms and materials, drawing inspiration from the eclectic fantasies of Antonio Gaudí, Carlo Mollino, and Scandinavian design from the 1950s, Ceccotti Collezioni has developed its own language and recognizable style – objects with organic shapes, soft curves, and smooth silhouettes.
Today, the factory's collection includes pieces created by renowned designers, architects, and studios from the past and present: from Roberto Lazzeroni to Jaime Hayon and Studio DRIFT, from Vincenzo de Cotiis and Giuseppe Casarosa to Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance and Christophe Pillet.
Ceccotti Collezioni combines high-quality production and materials with a commitment to ecological sustainability principles. Every stage of the production process is reevaluated with an ethical and environmentally friendly approach aimed at minimizing waste and impact on the environment, from the sources of energy used to the packaging, including the selection of suppliers and optimization of all processes.
90% of the precious wood (such as ebony, rosewood, oak, American walnut, etc.) used by Ceccotti Collezioni comes from plantations located in the United States that are managed in accordance with SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certifications. As for the adhesive used for assembling the pieces, the company has opted for a low-impact solution with non-toxic vinyl glue that does not contain formaldehyde.
